Yang perked her ears at the male's response to her question. Then went back with a 'yeah...right...' look on her face. The rumbling of his stomach gave his plan, to look as though he didn't need it, away. She chuckled a bit. "You really should eat. It'd be a shame if you died after I saved you last night." Her words were kind and then she took another bite of the deer. She chewed it a bit hungrily, since she had not eaten in a while, then swallowed.
She lifted her head, then asked him a question. "Can I at least get your name big guy? I'm Yang, and I just escaped from the labs not too long ago." She then laid her head on her paws, waiting for his answer. It really would be a shame if he died because of his stubborness. Especially after she saved his sorry tail!
Well, her mind usually went one way and she nudged the fawn towards him. She wasn't trying to show pity. It's juist that this was the first of one of the experiments like her she had seen. She didn't want him to die, especially in such a pitiful state. "You know, if your trying to act toughm it would be better to die fighting rather than refusing to eat like a stubborn fool." She was not kind on her words, and hopefully this would get the male to eat. Even a bit would suffice as long as the creature didn't starve himself.

((Sorry about the delay. Stuff keeps coming up, pretty much constantly. -_- But I have a little more time now that I've quit AF.))
As if perfectly satisfied where he was, wet and hungry on the bank of a river he nearly drowned in, the male hellion remained as poised as ever, keeping his head turned away and his eyes closed almost peacefully, his chin resting uncomfortably on the rocky shore. Cropped brown ears first perked a little, as if listening, then lowered slowly, gently, back to a more relaxed, laid-back sort of position. They were the only things beside the brute's unnecessarily long, cat-like tail that bothered to move and sway in the early morning light as he purposefully offered the female his back and nothing more.
At least, until she asked his name. Though he was not the friendly, chatty type, he was also not the type to tolerate disrespectful nicknames and callings. Though 'big guy' was hardly disrespectful, it was annoying in the hound's beaten and terribly torn auds and he'd do anything to relieve it.
"River."
Without lifting his head from the ground, he gave her no other information. Just his name, River. Simple enough. Even ironic when you consider he'd nearly drowned in one the night before. Peeking his eyes open slowly, he peered up a bit, passed the trees and through their leaves to the mountains beyond where the sun reached its rays far and wide. Who'd given him that name anyway? River... His mother? Surely not, she'd pretty much ignored him. His father? Probably not again, he was the same. Purebred, pedigreed swine...
As he wracked his brain for an answer, the female so rudely interrupted, popping his thought bubble and gaining his attention once again momentarily. Just as before, he kept his back to her, expressing himself only with his ears and tail, the former of which lowered a bit at the most recent accusation. Dressing his voice with a bit of irritated malice, he let his tail flick once flying off of his legs and hitting the soil roughly in a single, sweeping, twitch-like motion.
"I don't need to try to be tough, I already know that I am... I just don't want to eat. End of story."
