I had that problem with Quicktime. You did the Add/Remove programs thing I assume?

Yeah I did EVERYTHING. I went through the registry and deleted everything that had the entry "quicktime" and then I downloaded this thing called SureDelete and deleted everything I could that had to do with quicktime, and then I tried using QuickTime Alternative and that worked last time but not with the new iTunes, and arrgh...everything

Ah huh... Hmm... Hang on a minute. My dad's a comp engineer and he's a wizz with stuff like this. I'll go ask him...

He says to go to your C drive and go to the Windows directory. There should be a file in there titled "regedit". It'll bring up a window, a very detailed list of everything in your directory. He says to search that for any mention of quicktime and delete it all. He assumes that SureDelete would've done that for you but it might have skipped over files that have Quicktime secretly embedded in it, things titled like "omg123quickblah333blahtime555". It may not have picked those up...
BUT be VERY careful as you can do some serious damage to your Registry... which may even kill your computer...

So, I managed not to kill my computer, but it still gives me the same message when I try to install iTunes (An older version of QuickTime cannot be removed. Contact your support group). *sigh* i'll figure it out sometime Thanks though
