Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet. I love the first one, though I wonder where the cat's second wing is. o.O The scenery is nicely done, keeping the negative space interesting but not distracting. However, I would still try and do something with the figures next time, maybe make them a bit more interesting. As they are, the figures seem to blend with the background, showing less harmony and more lack of emphasis, if you know what I mean. If nothing is emphasized, then everything appears to be the same/part of each other. While many think this is harmony, it really isn't...
I hope that made sense... but I love them both. ^^ The second one is extrodinary and a better example of harmony than the first, in my opinion... though the red blood seems out of place, particularly since the wolf doesn't have any...

@ River Yeah, there isn't really any Color Harmony, which was the assignment. I got too caught up in the drawing (I get very happy when I can draw), so when I was trying to add stuff, I did it very timidly never really touching the figures. (I was alittle more loose on the 2nd image, though again barely any touch to the figures). When we had a group critque we all agreed that there had to be something to seperate the characters.
I think they fall more under limitation, which didn't really help in class. ^^;
As for the other wing, it would have cut into the image too much. It would have blocked part of the bodies, which I really wanted to show both characters fully. I had originally planned to have both wings till I started drawing it in. Since they are technically the same character I thought it was better to just show Dejah's birth wing on her form and the granted to her on her other. Kind of a balance thing in my mind.
I had some weird thought while I was drawing the first one that it'd be cool if the figures kind of Blended together, almost a transformation. It disappeared when time was running out before class Tuesday.
@ Sadae I normally don't do this kind of thing on paper. My images remain sketches for the most part on paper when I scan them in. (guidelines and everything) This was a lot of time cleaning everything up. Thanks for the comment Sadae. ^^V
