It was a rather gloomy day in the Indoc mountains, clouds rolling through and threatening an approaching storm. Most animals were starting to head off into their home to escape the coming storm, including a multi-colored dire wolf.
Sinopa had been traveling about the mountains for days, looking for her two packmates as she did just about everyday since it happened. Her tail was tucked between her legs and ears flat against her head. It was obvious she was rather shaken, driven to such fears by her run in with the hellhound.
A deep mental scar had been rubbed into her brain and it showed on the outside. She was a nervous wreck and in poor condition, looking alittle thin even though she was pregnant. She truly looked a lot more like the omega she was considered by her leader.

((As Torrent. I am way too lazy to switch accounts right now...))
As always, barks and growls echoed through the mountain air, aimed at this that and the other thing. The rambunctious and rather pathetic excuse for an alpha male wasted another afternoon chasing away every creature willing to run from him. Though there was no real point to it other than an echo trip, the dire wolf seemed to be enjoying himself regardless until a scent blew his way on the wind, at which point he froze still...
The omega of his back was approaching from over the next hill. She was still out of sight but her scent was unmistakable. Something was amiss and Torrent sensed it... but he couldn't place it. He was too young and too naive to truly know what that warm, soft yet very clear after-scent really meant...
Curious as always, and finished chasing a woodchuck into its tiny burrow, the tri-colored dire set off toward the source of the scent, his ears perked with interest and his tail high unnecessarily...

Ino stopped for a momment, looking around and sniffing the air. She had picked up the scent of her alpha and he was headed toward her. Quickly, she lowered her head and ears and slunked off toward him in a submissive manner.
When she was in range, she smiled slightly still avoiding direct eye contact. "He...hello alpha." She said, seeming alittle shaky as she approached. She then laid down and waited for him to com closer, her tail still tucked under her. "I have searched so long for you and the advisor. Is she not here now?" She asked.

Trotting over as proudly as always, the lead dire wolf seemed pleased to see his lowest ranking subordinate cower before him... or so he'd like to think she was cowering. Call it another of his mindless ego trips. Upon reaching the silver and sandy wolf, Torrent was sure something was amiss. This was an omega.... Oh sure, he'd sent Sinopa off to be the omega of his pack, there was no doubt about that, but she'd never looked the part. If anything, that had to be her most endeering trait, that air of stubborn confidence that she seemed to share with her Alpha. But where was that now?
Suspicious, golden gaze narrowed and the male dire circled the female as if searching for something. She physically looked unharmed, if a bit thin. Her fur remained relatively cunblemished, if a bit dirty. But her scent was a total mess and it was beginning to grow quite confusing for the young wolf.
"No, she is not. I was just doing my afternoon patrols, a task I usually complete alone."
Pausing behind her, Torrent gave her rump a sniff, still trying to figure out what was different.
"Why have you been searching? Is there something I should know?"

SHe gave a slight sigh of relief, glad that Fang wasn't here. It took off a bit of pressure, but there was still Torrent to deal with and chances are the young alpha would find everything she was about to say confusing and strange.
"Why have you been searching? Is there something I should know?"
"I was attacked days ago by a this strange creature. It was huge and blue and kind of looked like a canine." She started still avoiding direct eye contact. "I had just gotten myself a little meal and it just...well...." She was stammering, finding the memmory rather uncomfortable. "Then it pinned me to the ground and I tried to defend but it had me by the neck and then it mated me." She said, shaking a bit now. "But...that's not the only reason why I searched for you all....I think the hound is gone now but I think I'm...well...I....I'm expecting pups." She said, her ears low and tail tucked tightly between her legs as she finished and waited for the alpha's reaction. Honestly she didn't think he would believe her considering how lowly he seemed to think of her. Oh well, no going back now.

Torrent indeed looked at the female as if she'd gone mad. A blue monster beast? A phantom creature that mated with helpless females in the dead of night? The dire wolf snorted, turning on his heels (or wrists since canines don't actually stand on their heels) with his tail in the air arrogantly. Though he made it seem as if he was just blowing his omega off with a cold shoulder, the truth behind his action was simply to avoid eye-contact for fear of the female actually making him believe her crazy tale.
"Oh really? Little green puppies? With antennae and glowing red eyes?"
His voice dripping with sarcasm, the dire wolf ignored the fact that a blue creature wasn't entirely impossible. Hell, his own fur was blue, in a sense. Sitting down with his back to her, Torrent continued, a bit more solemnly now. He should kill the bitch for mating without his consent but his morals seemed to disallow it. It had happened without her consent as well.
"You can use my den..."
He paused for a moment, sighing in annoyance with a slight sag of his shoulders.
"Even if they're little alien puppies, they'll be little alien additions to my pack and I will not have them or their mother shivering in the cold or being hunted by bears and such..."

"Even if they're little alien puppies, they'll be little alien additions to my pack and I will not have them or their mother shivering in the cold or being hunted by bears and such..."
His response greatly surprised the terrified female, was she just imagining all of this, this wasn't like the Torrent she knew but then she wasn't completely herself either. She kept quiet thinking on everything for a moment before saying a thank you. Fear now went from herself and then to her unborn pups. She wasn't exactly in the best of shape. Although she had just about reached full-term, she didn't even look pregnant. She was very underweight, who knew what kind of an affect that would have on her pups.
"Where exactly is your den?" She asked, ears flat against her head.

The male scoffed mindlessly at the female's thanks. He didn't want or even need such appreciation, particularly not from her. Despite the fact it had occurred long ago, he was still pretty miffed about her clever deduction back when they had first met and stubbornly avoided eye contact.
"Come. I'll show you..."
Getting to his feet quickly, the male dire set off along the hillside without even seeing if his omega was following. There'd be no fur from his back should she decide not to...

She stood rather quickly, looking down alittle. But where you'd think there would be a frown there was a small smile. For once, she actually like her alpha was actually worthy of the title. It made her rather glad that she could trust him even a little. She glanced around alittle as they walked, making note of where they were, that way she could easily find her way back to the den for later purposes.

The trek took them over a few hill and across numerous rock faces, around plenty of small ponds and over a few areas of dusted snow. The mountain range was quite a large stretch of land, almost encircling the entire valley in which the village and jungle resided within. Even at a brisk pace, it would take the wolfen pair about twenty minutes to reach the den, nuzzled deep in the rocky face of the largest of the Indoc Mountains.
Torrent purposefully kept quiet for the most part, his golden gaze trained forward in a deep thoughtful sort of expression, his brow furrowed and a scowl on his muzzle. However, about five minutes in, he dared a half glance over his shoulder.
"Where did it happen?"

"Where did it happen?"
"By the river" She replied avoiding his gaze to look at where she thought she had seen a few small animals hiding. She gave a sigh, not quite ready to retell any of the tale, her tail hanging limply behind her. She then looked over making direct eye-contact for a momment before looking away again.

The dire wolf's brow furrowed forward, deepening the scowl on his multi-colored muzzle. The river was neutral land so it would make sense a strange male might find her there. By definition, that one fact, that this whole ordeal occurred in land that did not belong to him, should've made the event out of Torrent's hands but he only had to two pack members. He was not about to let anyone take advantage of them.
He continued to stare at her for a moment, taking note of her avoidance of eye contact. That was not like the typically stubborn omega and the usually aloof alpha was beginning to grow concerned. Not so much for her well being but more for the pack's. Should Sinopa die, Indoc would be reduced to a pack of two and that was hardly a healthy status. More importantly, should she remain this distracted on hunts or during patrols, she could easily make a mistake that could cost them all a good meal or more.
"What were you doing by the river?"

"What were you doing by the river?"
"I was looking for you and Fang, but since I couldn't I went to go and drink and eat. I had just killed a fawn when the thing came." She said looking back over at him again, this time almost looking him in the eye almost as if to read on his thoughts. She saw a bit of his confusion, but said nothing on it. Simply looked away again and taking note of the scenery once more.

Narrowing his gaze suspiciously, the dire wolf let the subject drop. It wasn't important anyway, why she had been so far from the mountain tops in which she lived. With a snort, Torrent went back to his original train of thought, mindlessly pushing forward at almost a trot. His paws grazed the light snow fall that littered the ground and hid the grass from view, his golden gaze returning to the path ahead of them for a moment before trailing over to a small stream that lead down the mountain side. Making a sharp left, he followed the stream against the flow, now moving up the tall mountain toward a small thicket of trees.
Again finding a reluctant need to speak, the male dire looked over his shoulder yet again.
"He was blue, you say?"

"He was blue, you say?"
"Yes...completely...with a few red markings and cuts. But he didn't look completely like any sort of canine I've ever seen. I think he said something about being a dog before humans did something." She said with a sigh. Her fur bristled alittle from the slight chill up her spine. "Is there anything else you want to know?" She said looking at him again. "I've told you everything I know." Her blue eyes showing a hint of bitterness.

The male nodded in an understanding manner, slowly turning his head back so that he might navigate his way through the trees. Blue and red was an odd combination indeed... which would make it all the better the find this son of a bitch. No canine, especially one associated with humans, would ever get away with defiling one of his females. Letting a slight smirk work its way onto his muzzle, Torrent once again took a look over his shoulder, one eyebrow raised.
"No, my dear. That will be plenty."
Turning back with a little flick of one ear, the male dire continued his trotting, his tail flipping back and forth from its high-held position in an overconfident manner. Someone would pay for this, someone indeed...

She looked ahead at where she thought could be the den.
"Is that it?" She asked in a tired voice. She didn't have too much strength and her being pregnant only made her feel more tired. She looked back at Torrent, wondering what had caused his sudden change in attitude. What was that wolf thinking?

Leaping to the top of a rather large rock, the male dire sat down proudly, his tail waving slightly where it hung over the side.
"That would be it."
Directly across from him, about 16 feet across the clearing in the woods, a tall rock face grew into the mountain side. Nestled in the light tannish colored rock, a triangular hole led into a large, wide-open one, room cave, easily twenty feet across. The back of it was lined with grass and a soft dirt pile, large enough for two wolves to comfortably rest on. The walls, tall and angled, were decorated with lots of small spaces and crevices as if made out of swiss cheese. Each was the perfect size for a baby wolf to hide in, too small for any larger predators to infiltrate, including any prowling adults.
It was a nice find, if Torrent did say so himself.

Going inside, she surveyed it, touching the ground to get a feel of just how soft it was. It seemed nice enough, especially since she wouldn't be leaving too much for the next few weeks. She then looked up at the ceiling and then over to the wall of the den. She pawed alittle at it, her tail wagging slightly. The holes were definantly firm and didn't seem like they would cave if any little bodies were to crawl in while no one was looking. She then went back outside and laid down on the softer part of the ground, more on her side than anything.
"It's quite a find, a very nice den." She said with a bit of a yawn. "May I ask you something?" She asked, looking over to him.
(Gonna go fry some bologna.)

((*stomach growls* That sounds like a good idea... X3))
Surveying the area with a cool golden eye, Torrent silently allowed the female to examine his den. Well, it was more of a cave really since it was not dug into the ground, but it sounded odd for a dire wolf to live in a cave. But that's what it was, a natural occurrence in the hard rocks of the Indoc mountains. Still, that didn't keep the cocky dire from calling it a den. Since it was on his lands, he could call it whatever he friggin' wanted to...
Looking down toward his omega to find she had finished her inspection, Torrent gave her a curious flick of his ear, trying not to seem to interested.
"No one's stopping you..."
