Four heavy hoofs beat out a solemn rhythmyn on the moist ground. A tall, shaggy equine lifted his head as he stopped, reaching the swift moving water. He craned his neck down, dipping his muzzle into the water, lapping at it like a dog. His mane was long and shaggy, and it hung lazily in his eyes. He looked up, his pointed ears erect. He relaxed a bit, his tail wagging slightly. He shifted himself to a lying down position, resting his head on his front legs. He closed his eyes, relaxing.
