Her life had been hell from the moment of birth. Nothing but pain and misery inflicted on her form from the moment her paws touched that place. Never had she felt such a way before. And now, it was over. They had cast her out. Left her to the scavangers that cowered above the predators as they ate, picking at whatever was left. And now, she was free. And they would pay. Her golden eye was narrowed, cold with hate at the reminder of her past and the place that had made her what she was. Blind in one eye was only a tid bit of what their experiments left on her. However, she had to cope. Cope with the life she had been given now.
Paws walked in ankle deep water, the coldness feeling refreshing against her sore pads. Claws were placed inside her paws, unable to give her stability against the flow should she decide to move deeper into the river. Another gift given against her will. Nose was lowered so it almost touched the waters, twitching to draw in the scents of the small area around her. It didn't do much good. There was nothing interesting around here anyways. Nothign shiney in the least bit besides the water. And that she was already standing in.
A sigh left the maw of the female, her placing her rump on the floor of the river. She winced as pain went up her spine from the pressure applied onto her tail. She was about to stand again and continue when voices reached her.
"The river again, Splee? Why not just sit in a mud puddle."
They were her friends. Even if others concidered it strange that only she could see them. At the moment it was her little raccoon friend with the funny hat. Hehe.
Splee snorted towards the shore, head lowering slightly as she pouted. It was always the raccoon that made fun of her. Always the little jackass that always disappeared when she attacked. "At least a river has food, Johnathan!" she snapped back. The hellhound didn't care what a passerby might think of her. She was content right here right now and nothing was going to make her move.
