Terrorism... The one thing all humans seem to fear, the one thing that can make whole countries shake, the one thing the whole world can agree should be stopped. But how?
That had been the question some time ago, back when terrorism had first been a problem. Governments all over the planet desperately searched for an answer. Warnings of war, of torture, executions and so on, such warning were ignored by terrorists. They didn't care about such weapons, weren't afraid. So, the government had to take a more drastic turn...
Genetic Engineering...
The task: create a creature smart enough, obedient enough and keen enough to find and subdue the biggest, baddest, most terrifying threats to national security. Many scientists offered to do so, claiming they already had such projects on going. But those projects were destroyed, since previously, such genetics were against the law. No, they had to start anew and they had to succeed...
Given a relatively large island off the coast of California, it was a race to do just that....
But only failures met the scientists' hands. Deformed, nasty, ugly, bleeding creatures, many of which died soon after being born. Their dispositions warped, their demeanors turned violent, such animals often took the lives of their captors, their strength overwhelming and their deformities often making useful weapons. They've long since been dubbed.... hellbeasts....
Yet, despite all the ugly, nasty failures, there was one- and only one- that's been considered a success. P4 was the project's simplistic identification number but the scientists knew him as Jiggsaw. Gene splicing went well, in the eyes of the scientists doing it, the cries of pain and agony that came from their subject being totally ignored. Such painful, agonizing techniques were honed using Jiggsaw, realized at his expense. Since the first experiments on P4, canines have become the most common test subjects... hellhounds....
But Jig proved to be just a tad too successful. In a mighty explosion of rage, of frustration and anger, he single-handedly destroyed all of Galt Labs and disappeared into the night....
The Labs cared little, rebuilding themselves with ease and restarting their experiments yet again and continuing to this day... but Jig has a different idea, him and his followers don't plan on letting Galt Labs get away that easily....
And the uprising has begun....
