Voice Type- deep welcoming sound that's too friendly to belong to a good heart, Kind of like Jack Nickleson sometimes, but without fancy talk
Personality type- masochist (best word)
Personality-
Oxide is one to wear his intentions out on his sleeve. If he wants something badly enough you’ll know. He lacks any kind of formal education or understanding. He has about one or two more years of learning left in him before his ways are set.
He holds no knowledge of submission or rank, for he’s been raised on each canine for themselves. Females are only good for riding, along with males. He has no preference and if a better male could possibility mount him and reach, he might go for it. Force breeding is not below him, it is him.
For socialization, it will take some time. An interesting conversation could possibility keep his attention. Note, interesting for him, might be a sore subject for someone else. Oxide doesn’t whine or cry out in pain anymore. He grew out of it long ago. When he’s in his own pain, you’ll normally see a grin on his toothed maw. The bigger his grin the more pain or anger. This makes it difficult to tell between actual emotions that bring a smile and those he has grown to them. Pain is the only form of caring he has known.
(will add more as he grows)
Appearance-
Oxide shares the same shape and build in the fore half as any wolf. His muzzle is long and graceful. It pulls back into a full face with short, high pricked, rounded ears.
His chest is deep for large lungs. Shoulders are high and fall into thick forelimbs. There is much difference in detail though. His upper fangs fall in short sabers about 5 inches long.
They flow with the natural curve of normal canines. His jaw is on a wider hinge to compensate for the teeth. His eyes show no large difference between parts. The iris, pupil area is perhaps a tad darker then the rest of the eye. His left eye shows three cuts. One cut above his eye with one below that matches up to it. The other is an inch off of the bottom one, this one is much longer. All have metal staples in holding them such. This eye oozes as if from infection. The area around the cuts is shaved.
From his forehead to behind his shoulders grow the remains of a Mohawk. It falls over like the mane of horse because he lacks the trait that makes the hairs stiff. A thick mane wraps around his neck. It covers from his shoulders forward, throat, and behind ears. The thick fur does not end under his belly till it nears his sheath where it just stops.
Paws do have a dew claw, but all of his claws are thick and blunt. His right shoulder has a cut down it similar to those around his eye. His shoulder is shaved around the cut which is closed by staples and a piece of taped gauze.
About his left lower foreleg are wrappings.
Oxide's hind end shares joints and bones with wolves, but it is more changed. His back paws end in three large toes. The claws that protrude from the fur appear much like sharp bone. There is a matching toe that lines right up with the middle toes in back.
There is a higher flexibility in these feet then his front.
His exoskeleton reaches where his Mohawk stops. The hard covering coats his back and half way down his hips. It merges into a tail that has been cut off half way. The cut is rounded off and healed. Several spots on his back show off staples in his back and scales.
Colors- Oxide’s skin is a light green color. His fur consists of two colors. A green is his main fur color while his markings (mask, mane, socks) are a royal blue. Mohawk goes from red to orange; these colors are the same on his scales. Orange being the underneath of his tail and red over the top. The diamond-like scales on the top of his tail have a dark red inner diamond with a lighter red around that. This red is still darker then his Mohawk and scales.
His tongue is pink with spots of blue and green.
Details: The flexibility granted from his back feet make it uncomfortable to run. They are more like bird talons then paws. They can grasp, but are not a stable ground for bounding.
His heavy and almost useless tail sometimes causes him back problems. (this gives him trouble sometimes when mounting which doesn’t make him a very happy camper) This causes him to limp or lay around in pain. The cut on his shoulder sometimes causes it where he can’t use the limb for awhile, kind of like having a bad cramp in your leg.
His eyes only function with light, so during the night he is basically blind. As for his left eye it twitches sometimes, as if a nerve was tweaked when the cuts were made. On bad days, the dried ooze keeps the eye closed unless loosened with water.
Oxide's fur is rather short and thin, except for his mane, so he is prone to shivering. He is fertile, but barely. By barely, the only way ONE mating is going to result in offspring is if Satan suddenly feels a chill.
History-
Oxide’s father RipTide was one of the first successful scorlves. He was a wolf, born in captivity just for experimentation, his egg worked on before he was ever conceived. He was kept in a cage with tubes sticking in and out for most his vital functions; to keep him week and dependent. Lidowa was also a wolf, bred in captivity also. She was brought in like other females to be a segregate mother. She was artificially inseminated with Riptide’s seed.
It took many times to get her to take, as all the testing made RipTide have a low count. After the given gestation period, Lidowa gave birth to pups; Quake and Oxide. Both were taken from Lidowa when their eyes opened.
Oxide was stuffed in a cage, too big for his small puppy form. He was fed on a complex formula to promote growth and the hardening of his exoskeleton. This was upgraded to a solid form when he was old enough. During his first two years minimal tests were ran on him. Those that were, were on health; blood tests, x-rays, teeth cleaning, etc.
It is when he became sexual aware that things started happening, as they wished to see if he was more active then his plugged father. (This was an easy answer as Oxide was not kept alive with tubes)
In both cages that were next to him, a female dog was put into each. These were hormonally altered so they’d go into heat every month. This drove the poor creature mad. He’d never seen another till then, but drugs and such that had been slipped to him increased his desire. He’d tear and bite and everything else he could do trying to get to them till finally he’d have to be knocked out for fear of permanent damage.
The day he lost his tail was when one of the scientists slipped up. As precaution, women where not allowed to work around the scorf during their time. No one was sure how he’d react, nor did they want to chance it. The woman was on her last leg when she opened the cage door. With a tranquilizer gun in one hand and a scheduled shot in the other she moved into the cage. He’d smelled her all day and the self control it took to keep his body lying still was maddening. As she closed in off to his side he waited for her closer step. She took it and right as she lifted the gun, Oxide sprang. Digging into the floor he spun his body. His strike landed his needle up under her ribs where he pumped as much as he could into that sting and another.
The woman was killed by his bite that was set at an angle to her neck and shoulder. It was about ten minutes before someone realized something was wrong. Five times the normal dose of tranquilizer was used to stop his activities.
His stinger and poison glands were removed after the incident to prevent it from happening again. The removal of part of his tail was the easy part. Taking his poison glands out was another story. It left him laid up for awhile because they had to go under his exoskeleton.
Some time after his eye and shoulder surgeries the lab he’d lived in his whole life was raided. When his cage was partially destroyed, Oxide hobbled away, leaving just a couple people from either side in his wake. He wasn’t the only one to add to the chaos, but he also wasn’t the one in the best of shape.
