'Sup guys...
You may have noticed that I have disappeared for about a day or two. No, there's no family emergency, my internet is fine and my dad is far away from the cable modem. I bought the newest expansion pack for the Sims 2 and, let me tell you right now: if you like dogs and you like role-playing, buy it. It is totally worth it...
Unlike the first Sims, which only gave you like five breeds of dog to choose from, the Sims 2 gives you total control over what your dog looks like. They have anywhere from 16 to 32 breed templates to choose from (mixed breeds included) ranging from an Airedale terrier to a yellow lab. Then, on top of that template, you can change every aspect of your dog. The ears, the eyes, the muzzle, the tail, the fur texture, the fur length and, most notably, the fur color. Imagine you're working in Photoshop and you have a few color layers over this blank but colored template. That is exactly how you choose your dogs colors. They have a wide variety of markings, spots, stripes, and patches in a wide variety of colors. Layering them on and changing the opacity of these layers and markings allows you total and free reign over your dog's appearance. Cats too, but you all know I only care about the dogs. X3
So, that's what's going on. With so much freedom and so much... fun basically, it's been taking all of my attention. Worry not though. I swear I'll be back once the weekend's over and homework keeps me from wasting day after day creating doggehs of my choice.
